The Christian HIV/AIDS Alliance is a network of Christian agencies, churches and individuals praying and working together to serve and empower those affected by HIV and AIDS
Our Vision is to see a mobilised UK Christian community which is aware of and active in compassionate Christian responses to the global HIV/AIDS pandemic. Our Mission is to facilitate compassionate, strategic Christian responses to the global HIV/AIDS pandemic by working together as an Alliance to educate, inform and challenge the UK Christian community.

CHAA Secretary gets new post
CHAA secretary, Steve Fouch, who has been with CHAA since its inception, will also be taking on a new post in addition to his CHAA role. Steve is now co-chair of the Faith Working Group of the UK Consortium on AIDS and International Development. The other co-chair is Jim Matarazzo of Christian Aid. |

Church-Based Responses to HIV
Monday 1st December 2008. HMS President (Moored at Victoria Embankment London EC4YOAJ.) Tearfund are hosting an opportunity to discuss the potential of church-based responses to HIV, particularly within the UK. The event will be hosted by Prof. Andrew Tomkins from the Centre for International Health and development. Admission is free but must be booked in advance. More details here. |

CHAA Creed given warm reception at Anglican "Partners in World Mission" Conference
CHAA was represented at the Anglican Church's, Partners in World Mission conference (PWM), at Swanick in Derbyshire from 3rd-5th November. Rev Alan Bain, CHAA's Vice Chair, seen here handing out CHAA's "Creed for the AIDS pandemic", to a participant. Members of the conference were drawn from almost every Anglican Diocese in the UK and Ireland. Alan said, " The creed received a very warm reception and I am sure it will become an asset for Anglican churches throughout the country."
